Types of items accepted

The journal Politics, Globality, and Citizenship* publishes original and unpublished works related to the fields of political science, social sciences, political communication, citizenship, governance, international relations, and related studies. Submitted manuscripts must adhere to the editorial guidelines and meet criteria of scientific quality, originality, and academic relevance. The journal accepts only the following types of contributions:

Scientific Articles Derived from Research

These are documents that present, in detail, original results from completed research projects. These articles must demonstrate methodological rigor, scientific contribution, and analytical clarity. Their structure should include: title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions, and references.

Manuscripts should not exceed 25 pages, including the full text, references, tables, figures, and appendices. A maximum of 30 references are permitted, preferably from articles published in scientific journals and appropriately incorporated within the text. They may also include up to 6 tables, 6 figures, and 1 appendix.

Literature Review Articles

These are analytical and critical works derived from research processes aimed at examining, systematizing, and integrating findings from published or unpublished studies on a specific area of ​​knowledge. Their purpose is to identify advances, trends, debates, and development perspectives within the field of study.

Review articles must be original and unpublished and should not exceed 25 pages, including the full text, tables, figures, and appendices. A broad and rigorous literature review is recommended, incorporating at least 50 specialized references; however, in the case of systematic reviews and meta-analyses, as many references as necessary to adequately support the study may be included. They may also include up to 6 tables, 6 figures, and 1 appendix.

General Considerations

In all types of articles, the abstract and summary should not exceed 250 words. The title, abstract, and keywords must be presented in both Spanish and English. Likewise, the curriculum information of each author must be written in paragraph format and not exceed five lines in length.
